RE: Big weekend for cross country
In the latest South Central Regional poll, Rice men move up from 8th to 7th.

As predicted, Rice women fall to #5 (from #3), behind Arkansas, Baylor, Lamar and SMU.

They have perfectly good porta-johns for use during soccer games and track meets, almost all of the bee hives have been removed and the temporary bleachers on the track are "utilitarian". Not as good a facility now as say, Butler Stadium but then Butler is in HISD and was renovated thirty years ago.

At least we have the BTOD ("Blue Track of Death") which is really quite good.

Absolutely. The BTOD is as cool as it gets.....maybe thats why we are able to recruit such solid T&F athletes, not to mention the soccer studs. It certainly isn't because these amazing athletes like to pee in the bushes, and walk home to their dorms to shower.....because THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. They have NO FACILITIES to speak of at that Track/Soccer stadium. Come on Rice, at least build them a shack so they can shower and go to the bathrooom.

EMBARRASSING.

There will be an announcement fairly soon regarding those facilities. I cannot disclose more.
