Actually it's coming from our mascot who tweets @Trojan Man.

I don't have Twitter. Tell him they need Gonna Fly Now, the theme from Rocky.

+1

I have never understood the reason we had a band yet played that much canned music

Don't play any canned music, except maybe the SSB.

I think the requests for music suggestions do revolve around "canned" music. I also would be happy to do away with canned music and let the pep band do their thing. Maybe the band needs a break occasionally, but the pep band is what creates a college game atmosphere.

And as an old jazzer, I can tell you that our band does a pretty good job, but they need to expand their repertoire a little. Maybe they do that in the off-season.

House lights go down, the smoke machine pouring smoke out of the tunnel, and the theme from the movie "2001" and the music that opened Elvis' concerts, begins to play. At the end of the final beats of the song, the Trojans come out of the tunnel.

It sure fired the crowds up at Elvis' concerts. Can't guarantee that it'll do the same for the Trojans though. But it would be a cool way for the Trojans to hit the floor. Thank ya, thank ya very much.

Denman request Big Smo "Workin". Pappy, you really need to get on Twitter. Following Joe Kleine going crazy for the Royals has been a hoot. Funny as heck.

unfortunately you cannot dim the lights in the arena. They are either off or on and it takes a while for them to warm up once you turn them on.

In that case, we'd just have to go with the smoke and the music. Not quite as effective, but better than just running out of the tunnel.
