What each of us want to see or which one Carey will pick?

RE: Hare or Maddie?
I'm finally on board the Maddie train. Hare can't throw either, so I would rather the QB be able to run. MD's prediction or Root coming in mid season after messy QB play is looking not so ridiculous anymore.

RE: Hare or Maddie?
Carey gave Hare 4 quarters to see what he could do...I personally think you have to give Maddie the same. My guess is that they go back to the Hare start Maddie in relief arrangement.

I'm not really a fan of either, but under the current circumstances there's a better chance Maddie is the guy who'd win the team more games (that said, he also very well could be the guy who'd lose the team more games with mistakes, but I like to gamble).

RE: Hare or Maddie?
Looking at Choice #3, I think this is what you'd call a "biased poll."

That said, I'm all for giving Maddie a shot against Miami.

The Kent State game was the perfect game to give Maddie 4 quarters.

RE: Hare or Maddie?
Give Maddie the ball and see what he does. If he flops, well, at least everyone will know he got a shot.

How about a new center that can actually snap the ball?

Sad thing is we have a guy that we specifically recruited to be our center but apparently his performance at something is worse than Ness's continuously low snaps.

Seems like Ness cannot snap the ball worth a lick. Every damn snap is just a few inches off the ground. Getting a little height on it does not seem all that difficult. Last Saturday, Hare was having a problem with every snap, having to bend over to get the ball. And he had the one fumble where the snap went past him. Just another thing to affect his performance.

While we're looking for a new center, can we also PLEASE get a kicker who can kick the ball into the end zone without a 40 mph wind at his back?

We have 2 of the top 25 ranked kickers nationally from last years class on Red Shirt this year. Carey didn't even want both of them to come to NIU for the Summer then just go to school 1/2 time in the Fall (so he could grey shirt) but had to after one of our walk on guys left.

Just another pointer to me that Carey planned this year to be more of a rebuilding year.

I wonder who is the snapper for Root now. If its not Gegner then I wonder if that person will be the center next year so we can bump Ness out to Guard.

RE: Hare or Maddie?
I yell at my son after every NIU football game. He could be the kicker if not for back problems. Endzone, no problem. 50 yards on in no problem. Think I have to go home now and yell at him. Wedel is not a field goal kicker.
