Our defense isn't very good, but our offense either scoring fast or going 3 and out don't help matters either

I would agree with that. Our offense has largely been a no show in the second half of games except for BGSU.

Also, FAU just scored a TD. Tops now have to answer with a minute and change left.

To be honest, I would be to scared to go for two in that situation. That's why I am not a coach, I guess.

You can't pin this one on Doughty. The defense cannot stop anyone. This is the same FAU team that only gained 200 against Nebraska.
34 minutes vs 23 minutes possession is huge.
