Does Getting kicked out of the CMU game carry over to the Miami Ohio game?
Did anybody see what he did?

Punched our TE in the groin. Don't know why. Maybe words exchanged first. Since it happened in the 2nd half, he may have to miss the first half next week.

Brandon Mayes will start in his place more than likely. Could very well be an upgrade to be honest.

Don't know the rules, but I'm sure the conference can step in and suspend him for the full game

I just don't want to be like FSU etc. The student athlete needs to realize that is not tolerated.

They've already announced he's suspended for the first half on Saturday.

This is what I don't understand, it seems like it's the more experienced players with these types of dumb penalties, guys that should know better - not that a freshman wouldn't know not to punch a guy, anywhere, during a game, but you know what I mean.

Yep. Especially when the team is behind at home by a big margin. Sometimes the emotions get away from you during a sport. Cliche saying, but true.

If I was Carey I would not play him the whole game. Players need to learn this is unacceptable.

It's like I've said, the only reason he's playing right now is because Mycial Allen's hurt. There's a reason Allen played last year as a true freshman to backup Jimmie, and there's also a reason why they moved Moore from corner to safety after last year. The younger guys at corner are better than him and quite frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Mayes performs better than him next Saturday.

RE: Marlon Moore status
Moore may be the first guy I've ever seen to be benched twice in his first two years.

Remember, he was the first guy up once Durante got hurt in 2012 and they moved Stone back to safety, which worked out because Stone played pretty well, but other than the one 4th down stop against Toledo, Moore didn't do much and was eventually benched in favor of Sean Evans.

Then last year he was a starter alongside Evans, but by the time of the Purdue game, Paris Logan was taking the majority of the reps at the opposite corner spot. Moore got more playing time when Evans got hurt, but still, it's not an enticing prospect to get benched twice in your first two years and he could very well get benched again this year if Mayes plays well Saturday.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't mind it one bit.

Well, he should have gone all out then, if he was going to miss the 1st half of the next game. He obviously didn't live up to his idol (see the guy whose nuts he attacks START AT 26 SECONDS, END AT 36 SECONDS!):

It seems to be the only way we can stop an opposing TE.
