MLB Playoffs
What a way to start postseason play. This game has been fantastic.

Great game. Derek Norris is going to have nightmares about that game. Perez from the potential goat to the hero.

I'm a fan of the wild-card game.

So the A's traded Addison Russell and didn't even win a playoff game. Ouch.

RE: MLB Playoffs
The Athletics have had some heartbreaking losses in the Billy Beane era. This game looked totally locked up (Especially with a bullpen that had been pretty untouchable all year). When the two outfielders ran into each other in the last inning it was clear it wasn't their night.

The names change, but the results remain the same for the Tigers bullpen. In two games they have now given up 12 runs in the 8th inning alone.

Why would you send Miguel Cabrera home with 0-outs in the 8th? That was a huge insurance run wasted.

2 wild cards make the WS this year. Not that one year proves much but more and more it seems the key is to just make the playoffs. Anything can happen from there as a few of us have noted.

No bigger crapshoot in sports than the MLB playoffs.
