I'd pay not to see it as well, great reverse advertising (a take off of the Simpsons/Family Guy episode???)

I hope we do not wait too long - HCBC is going to have interest from other teams and we need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to being a top-level C-USA football team.

First I'm trying to give a hint best I can.

Second, Clark needs three years to be tenured in the state of Alabama retirement system. He has said that this is a big deal so unless a top 20 school comes calling he isn't leaving until then.

That said I get the feeling he won't leave for just anyone much like Haase. You can build basically the next Boise State here. When the MPF is built after the IPF he will have all his facilities in place and some of the finest in the country. Win a couple bowl games and UAB is in position for the next round of realignment and yes it's coming again.

There will be no more excuses not to succeed.

There is another team in-state football team, with a head coaching vacancy, who also has access to the retirement system. I wouldn't underestimate Troy's resolve to re-establish its program.

I absolutely agree, with the MPF and an IPF, we could create something very special in Birmingham.

The assistants' salary at Troy would not be as much.

That should settle that discussion.

I'm going to go ahead an underestimate Troy's ability to land Clark. Now, they may find a great coach somewhere, but I doubt it will be Clark.

Troy (might) could match us in pay, but that program has much less upside.

Troy cannot match us in pay. Boosters won't let that happen. Forget Troy. Smh.

The boosters are not the issue, and quite frankly, they have never been the issue for UAB Football.

I truly hope you are right, and the administration and BOT will be staunch supporters of our coach and be tireless advocates for much needed facility improvements.

You might get the administration on board, but you can probably forget the Bama BOT's!

If we want facilities we will simply have to pay for them ourselves. Better get ready to open your check book if you want shiny new things.

Really all we have left for the immediate future is an IPF and a stadium. MPF takes care of one of them for the time being and we can focus our money on the ipf. The BOT will neither help or hinder if we pay for it ourselves. It's on us.

Unless someone has $63 million in their pocket they are willing to give for the stadium is not happening any time soon. Maybe after there are mass board changes? Two of them are not stepping down any time soon.

Probably the worst one pegs 70 in about 14 months though.

IMO, they are worse. These two are blindly fanatical in their following of PBJ's lead.

I've heard it was the other way around. pbj is the face of evil and the one we all blame but St. John and espy are the heart and soul.
