Attendance target
We reported 3141 last season. I am saying (actual) attendance will be up this year for several reasons. I do not expect us to catapault to full houses, but it would be nice to see at least a 10-15% real increase. PLUS, I think the new AD will get student involvement going, and the energy of the crowds will be better.

RE: Attendance target
I have witnessed the increased participation of the students in recent years. I can recall the only game they came to was the homecoming game, and they left after the halftime activities. Maybe a way to increase attendance would be to create a basketball appreciation course for credit that could count toward a student's graduation. If they attended at least 75% of the men's games each year, they would receive an "90" in that course, which of course would help their GPA. And in addition if they attended at least 50% of the women's games, they would receive a "100" for the course. There are music appreciation courses. Why not basketball appreciation?

I doubt seriously if it's the silliest thing I ever posted. But the best thing about being my age is I don't recall what I posted this morning, much less years ago. Keep lurking. We need all the lurkers we can get. 04-cheers
