Fair enough. The systems I work on aren't generally exposed to the wide world, but I've seen a lot of stupid things done, so I don't doubt you on that.

I intentionally "lose" my primary credit cards about three times a year, EACH. They always end-up being found in my desk drawer (then to shredder) after a new one arrives in the mail to replace it. Does nothing to hurt my credit record, but changes the numbers on the same card I keep using, pretty often.
