Who Was The Last OC That We Didn't B*** About?
Seriously, thinking back to the NIU Offensive Coordinators I've seen since I became a student, who was the last playcaller that people didn't b**** about at some point? Cole is obviously getting the brunt of it right now, Carey had his detractors (and still does), Dunbar got lit up and he only called for one game, Canada didn't escape it in 2011, and people used to roast Limegrover all the time during the Kill years, even in 2010.

I agree though Cole is pretty bad. I liked Bond. I liked Canada for the 3 different times we had him.

Cole doesnt set teams up that well. Doesnt call run plays very well. Doesnt open up the passing game very well the last two years.

Need to get the run game back in our hands.

Bond may have been the worst offensive coordinator since I started following NIU football (2000).

I thought that Carey was a good O Line coach and a good offensive coordinator. It gives me some hope that he can salvage the season and if he does it will be a hell of a coaching job.

Canada was the best

Carey...not trying to take anything away from him but I'm pretty sure I could have called "one of those plays where #6 keeps it" and been considered a guru.

I also liked Canada the best, he was the most unpredictable IMO.

I think Carey was an excellent play caller and good O line coach. That o line was best their first year, when he ran the line.

I think many forget the year he was calling plays NIU had Settle at RB and then nobody until Akeem late, Perez was hurt almost all year so he really only had Martel and a young line and two young TEs. They also didn't rely too heavily on Jordan in a lot of games, he let the skill do a lot of heavy lifting. I personally thought Jordan did a lot more heavy lifting last year.

I liked Carey calling plays, that's just me.
