McKissic, Knighten, Griswald,

And I haven't even named a single defensive player yet...and those would be the ones who would shut down your running game.

Of course, such a game would be out to show Willie Fritz why he got turned down for the AState job 3 straight years.

If we tie this year, the tiebreaker will be the winner the last time the two teams met!

Maybe y'all could slow down Breida from his 8.7 yards per carry to 7 or so.

Plus our two losses came down to the last minute whereas Ark State's were blowouts.

The last thing I'd ever want to do is get into a pissing contest with a Ga Southern fan, but did you bother to check Gordon's stats?

He's been injured for much of the season, but he's managed to average 9.4 yards per carry.

Besides, Tennessee and Miami are far better than Georgia Tech and NCST. Hell Utah State is as good as or better than one of the teams you lost to, and stAte beat them.

You have objectivity issues. I'm marking your name down as a Sun Belt board clown to not take seriously. A-State's loss to Tennessee a blowout? WTF?

Ive watched Gordon play. He is a hell of a running back but to act like he is leap and bounds better then Breida is crazy.

Gordon: 18 att; 441 yds; 9.4 avg; 3 td::::: 6 rec; 33yds; 5.5 avg . Best game he has played was Ga St 188 yds and 2 TDs.

Breida: 96 att; 831yds; 8.7 avg; 8td::::: 5 rec; 88yds; 17.6 avg. Best game 187yds against South Alabama and 2tds.

....last year(sophomore) "Flash" gordon had 112 att and 754 yrds

Both are great backs but if you want to throw number out Breida's sophomore year has already left Gordon's in the dust. Once again Im just putting facts out there. Im not saying Southern is better then State, Im not saying with have more talent. Im just saying its time to stop slinging *** around a realize Southern is the real deal. If you give respect where it is due we will respect you. If you choose to continue to crap on us and tell us we aren't as good as you or even close we will continue to talk smack. I for one hope we add a 12th team. We have Ellison and Breida for 2 more years. We can find out really fast which team gets it done better on the ground.

Nobody acted like that. Just simply noted the yards per carry and the injury that limited Gordon's play. I said nothing about your stud.

RE: Week 7 Power Rankings
I'm of the impression that USA plays better on the road. All 3 of our wins this year and some of the most impressive performances over the last few years were on the road. On the other hand, most of our worst defeats were at home. Depends on the team I guess, and whether you're playing in front of 100,000 screaming maniacs or 60,000 cowbells.

Week 7 Power Rankings
I dunno who is better. AState has six games left for me to firm up my opinion. I know AState's defense vs GaSo's offense would be dang interesting to watch. I like the Fritz hire a lot. His name came up at AState several times but I never felt he was a fit for us.

03-lmfao sensitive.

I think this is kinda funny because we may both be sitting arguing who should be 2nd place or something at the end while the Cajuns or TXST are ordering rings.

Ga Southern is legitimately two controversial plays away from being undefeated and in the discussion with ECU and Marshall as the G5 bowl representative (if we were eligible). Yes, I know, if and buts.

You can't say the same about Ark St given the blowout loss to Miami and double digit loss to UT.

StAte #1...not by a lot. Been saying they were the best since they thumped Montana State
Southern #2.
South #3 and I'm starting to wonder if the game we played with them is an aberration although I do think we are better

4 and 5 are Texas State and ULM or vice versa

10 and 11 goes to State and App or vice versa.

6 to 9 is a crap shoot.

No stAte can't. Southern has really surprised me with how well they've played so early under a new coaching staff at a new level.

Our new QB and offensive line and system are coming on with a load of steam now. If we keep getting better, look out.

And by the way, our defense is small but fast. Hurt us against the big boys, but against non-P5 we've allowed:
10
14
14
10

and two of those TDs were against backups/freshmen when the games were decided.

Scary huh?

While I agree that you are a very good team, and are very close to being a big story in college football this year, AState did actually pull off the OOC win against Utah State. Not taking anything away from your close games. I know, USA was 12 points away from being 11-1 last year, instead, we ended 6-6. Those close games sting even more than a blowout loss.

I really wish you guys could play AState and ULL to end these debates, but, I guess we'll have to wait until next year.

This must be annoying for Cajuns and Bobcats because there are four of us undefeated in conference at this point, not just two.

All I said is I think we are the best team and laid out the facts.

If doing that is arguing, then so be it.

Meanwhile you're over on the GaSt thread talking all kinds of smack and then policing other threads. Lol

I don't get it. Why would it annoy me? I have utmost faith that my Bobcats will drop some game they have no business losing (either for example, NMSU, or we'll do something stupid like being up 35 at the half this week and blow it).

I say the same about my own fans. They talk about how we "were THIS close" to beating X team (Illinois this year, in prior years, there's a handful of games). It's silly. It's a loss.

Gordon didn't really get a shot at playing much until well into the conference schedule. He was the number 2 back until #1 got suspended and fell out of grace with the coaches. Gordon made the most of it. We had a few more weapons at our disposal too. We didn't have to rely on him alone.

Yeah, last years stats for Gordon are misleading, he wasn't named starter until November when Harsin finally let him out of jail.

You need to also get the facts to the all the people out there that do these rankings for a living that are saying your team is #2 in the SBC and the gap between you and # 1 is growing. That they agree with the majority posters here should indicate that there must be a reason.
