the main conversations on our board would be about volleyball, soccer and rugby. What in the heck is the world coming to? Sure be glad when basketball begins and we can forget those commie and foreign games and focus on what's really important. Good ole American basketball. Actually I might vote to add Australian Rules football!

Well only 33 more days til the first home game. Probably just over 3 weeks til "Meet the Trojans"

There is a lot about Lady Volleyball to appreciate. First you get the impression the players are serious about getting an education. I have not heard of one being in legal trouble or being a problem for the school. The game is fast paced and requires plenty of athletic ability especially quickness. Another thing I like is the officials are not much of a factor in the game. You don't have 3 or 4 officials running around making controversial calls that sometimes determine the outcome of the game. The players often make unbelievable plays. Ask RBL about the save the Trojans made at the end line in the UTA game. Although the Trojans eventually lost the point, IMO it was good enough to have made ESPN's outstanding plays. I hope for a very good turnout Tues Night. It should be an outstanding match.

Good point. I suppose that it the thing about basketball I dislike the most. Officiating is too much of a determining factor.

Well, I for one will say that I am fired up about the season. IMHO, with the possible exception of the 23-win team this will be the strongest starting 5 in my tenure. And far and away the best 10. I still remain dubious that we have the horses to overcome the big two, especially GaState, but they stayed healthy last year, while we did not. Have to be good; helps to be lucky. James White, Ben Dillard and Josh Hagins are on paces to have their names all through the Little Rock record books. Throw in a strong supporting cast, loads of maturity, hopefully that old Trojan toughness, and if I were opposing coaches, I would be concerned.
