It Must Be Those (Blue) Helmets with the States Logo!
I have cracked the code to our loosing woes and the evidence is in the helmets. Those blue ones with the state logo. Note: We haven't faired too well wearing them.
1. Hampton University Game (Blue Helmets): Sure we won, but it should have been by a larger margined.
2. EMS (New Helmets) Won
3. Rice (New Helmets) Won
4. MTSU (Blue Helmets) Lost
5. Marshall (Blue Helmets) Lost
6. UTEP (Blue Helmets) Lost

It's time to put those "Blue Helmets" away for the remainder of the season!!!!!!

LOL. Hopefully that was the joke I took it to be. I know superstitions hold a place in the hearts and minds of many sports fans, but in the end they are meaningless.

It's worth a shot. Our defense can use any help it can get. Superstitions included

LOL.... It was a joke....Not a superstitious person at all.

However I do believe that our defense is playing better though! The old saying "No Pain No Gain" is what we are in countering this season! In order to "PROGRESS" to the top in CUSA; we must first go through the "PROCESS" that it takes to get there! Hang in there boys, especially the "DEFENSE" I'm rooting for you ALL!

Hey, I'm up for trying anything at this point! At one point, it looked like those all black uniforms were the kiss of death. I was ready to burn those, then. There has been success in those since then. let's try 'em, again!

The psyche is a fickle beast, I think 79 may be onto something. Bring back the new and white helmets. If nothing else they cannot play any worse in them.

RE: It Must Be Those (Blue) Helmets with the States Logo!
I like the blue helmet. It's the state logo that's the problem. Also wearing black.

ECU (Black Pants) - Loss
Maryland (State Logo) - Loss
Pitt (State Logo) - Loss
UNC (State Logo)- Loss
NSU (State Logo) - Bad performance
Citadel (Black Jersey/Pants) - Bad performance
Hampton (State Logo) - Bad performance
MTSU (State Logo) - Loss
Marshall (State Logo) - Loss
UTEP (State Logo) - Loss

Get rid of the logo, it's bad luck.

I am glad someone posted this thread becaue I was thinking the same thing. The uniform combination at UTEP was bad. The silver pants and blue helmet looked silly. We are trying to be too much like Oregon and have a different combination each game. Just stick with the all white and white helmet on the road and ditch the logo helmet at home.

It's bad luck not to be superstitious! 04-cheers

I hate those damn Kindergarden art project helmets and the team plays like crap in them. Burn the damn things before it's too late!

Our numbers are too small on the new white jerseys. Small numbers on a football jersey looks like a bad high school team.

Awesome:

RE: It Must Be Those (Blue) Helmets with the States Logo!
Our numbers on our first home and away jerseys were acceptable. On the black jerseys, I don't know who came up with the dumb idea of using blue numbers. And on the silver jerseys, the camo numbers were too light.

Now we have numbers that are too small and too thin on the white jerseys.

The problem is that it causes an awful experience for a TV viewer because the announcers can't read the numbers. This has happened way too often. Even Ted Alexander has jokingly complained on the air several times including last weekend against UTEP.

As a program, we have done a good job with details. But we still have a ways to go.

Oh, and while we are at it, the "Old Dominion University" is too small on the scoreboard. Big and bold is what is needed.
