And those same people have never witnessed a team like us move up before. Yes Marshall had a nice run before moving up, but we are unparalleled with what kind of team we were before we moved up. I'm not saying we're special, we just don't fit the metrics of teams that have moved up in the past.

I think people are learning that the elite FCS teams aren't way behind the G5 like was previously thought. We were already recruiting on a similar level, we just couldn't win all the battles that teams in the Sun Belt could.

Our biggest issue moving forward is going to be keeping good coaching. We can't make missteps on that path or we'll have some periods of time like we've seen in the past that were less than desirable.

So on our way back from the game we'd stopped in Macon for dinner, about an hour later down i-16 on the way back to the boro my roommate and I hit a deer in his Corolla. Needless to say hitting a deer at 70+ mph in a 4 door sedan isn't good for the sedan. Car is likely totalled and had to be towed.

Well to get to the point there was a guy who pulled over to make sure we were ok and it turned out to be a foreign exchange student from GaSt who had rented a car and was going to visit Savannah for the first time. He waited a good 30/45 min with us till everything was settled and gave us a ride to Statesboro on his way down to Savannah.

04-cheers What an interesting day to say the least.

P.S. - We are both ok. I may have fractured a finger when it slammed against the dash, but it's healing up ok.

Glad to hear you're ok

RE: A head start on the GS/GA ST. game
This thread has turned into the dumbest argument ever. The game is over, GS won, GSU has a defense to recruit for (so do we), GSU had a short duration in FCS before moving up to FBS (upon invitation), GS should have moved up after 1990 when we became a university, GSU fans made some bold statements prior to the 2013 season in regards to GS but GS fans are now making up for lost time in blasting the GSU fans for their loss. Have I missed anything?

Glad you both are okay. Kind of renews your appreciation for students from other schools thqat happen to be in the same conference.

P.S. I was in a similar situation except the deer hit me on Wade Green Road (I think the name is correct) in Kennesaw when I was in my 1999 Miata. The deer won. He even got up and ran off into the woods beside the Kennesaw F.D. Fire House.

HE GA St folks, what was the deal with the concessions in the stadium, well on the visitors side, I didn't go to home side. They were packed with long lines the entire game, need better planning when you have a huge group of visitors coming

I know they ran out of stuff over near me (student section). I don't know if there's much they would do to shorten the lines, but I definitely don't think they were prepared for that crowd. (Which is a little weird, since pretty much everyone with a prediction thought there would be about that many people there.)

We still and have had our share of these type problems as well. I am sure next time they expect a big crowd they will be better equipped.
