The difference is, that UTEP doesn't have to be a wannabe. With mediocre teams, UTEP can still outdraw some P5 teams in both football and basketball.

I think we all would acknowledge that attendance does not define a program, but it is certainly an indicator of fan interest and following.

MT increased its' average a wee bit. We had been averaging just over 18,000 and whoopee we had about, 18,800 for UAB. And it was HOMECOMING for !@#$%sakes! We have got to have a bigger crowd for BYU on Nov.1. No legitimate excuses for our attendance. Too damn many of our fans are either UT or Vandy fans, or TV couch potatoes. Be interested to know how many CUSA Fans are staying home and tuning into our ballgames on the Tube. Does anybody have those stats? That Cursed CYCLOPS is a mixed blessing.
