Think of it more as a reluctance to accept the narrative of solving a problem that doesn't exist.

There are no flights from West Africa to the United States.

Doesn't exist? See, you're just kidding yourself. I have my guesses as to why you stand by this, but frankly to say it's a problem that doesn't exist, just defies logic.

Flights from Liberia to the U.S. don't exist. Those people get here from other places. we can't screen people till they get to our airports. They'd have already been on a plane w hundreds of other people for hours even if you tried to ban travelers and not flights.

Also There are plenty of nearby corrupt states to buy passports from probably cheaper than an intl airline ticket and then those people once they got here wouldnt be subject to extensive screening.

A flight ban for flights that don't exist increase the likelihood of infected people not being screened. It's just bad policy and a political stunt.

You're just making excuses. "It's not possible to stop so why even try."

If your kid throws a fit do you throw in the towel because, he might throw more fits?

If your house is broken into, do you unlock the doors, because, they're going to get in anyway?

Should we have not tried to defeat Hitler, because someone as bad or worse will eventually come along.

Sure, I guess we can just throw up our hands every time something bad happens, or wait until it reaches some particular point where we conclude......"Now it's really serious." What's the magic number. Exactly, how many cases or deaths do you we need to before you think we should stop allowing people in from Ebola ravaged nations?

Do you even see the unrelated consequences of this. Frontier airlines has basically had to take an multimillion dollar airplane out of surface because passengers don't want to ride on it. The bowling alley in Brooklyn that the doctor bowled at is closed. The restaurant he ate at is closed. The cab he rode in has been taken out of service. Is it overkill, sure. But there's a perception problem, and people are going to purposely avoid places where Ebola has been.

It's okay to let those small businesses get ostracized, but gawd forbid we make a few third world countries uncomfortable by stopping traffic here.

Raiding airplanes? WTF are u talking about? You migh be beyond low information, you may fall into the catagory of no information. It's why some cringe when you make these short pointless jabs on FB threads. You probably think David Curle is one of the Three Stooges.

Flying, not raiding. You know, that autocorrect on the phablet I just bought. But nonetheless, that makes as much sense as your purposely obtuse arguements and circle logic about not flying direct flights being the be all end all of measures to take.

You always did like simple.

Simple isn't all bad.

Sometimes we over think things.

What is going on in the heads of those docs without borders anyway? Who in their right mind is heading out for a 2 week voluntary stint in Sierra Leone anyway? Get a clue, guys. If you are going to take 2 weeks off, hook up with a hottie and head out for Bora Bora in one of those little grass shacks in the Lagoon. Duh.

Just bought? I've had it for two years.

Typical though. You've become a lost soul when it comes to posting here. You can't engage in an intelligent discussion anymore. I forgot the last time you laid out two complete sentences that actually said something tangible. Apparently, if you can't make some pointless retort in 4 words or less, then you're reduced to pointing out auto corrects. It's like you're under the influence of Kryptonite. Fight through it Captain.

But Ernie they're fully protected. They know all the protocol. They have CDC training. Those docs have shown that it's so hard to get, the Ebola experts 03-nerd sent 4000 highly trained National Guard Ebola experts 03-no to "fight" Ebola.

Apparently Ebola can be wiped out with an M-16 rifle.

I don't mind a hockey game once in awhile in person, but watching it on the tube doesn't get it for me. They need to bring back that blue streak puck that NBC used. I know the purists hated it, but I didn't.

You don't need to be in love with the puck to enjoy the game. There are dozens of games within the game to watch. I can't stand that about football, they zero in on the centers azz and the QB taking the snap, you can't see the secondary, the formations, see any shifts when/if audibles are made.

No wonder fans take of the game is, "we can't block (sic) good".

Only the "Peejola" virus can spread like wildfire via the web. It turns well adjusted men into hysterical teenage girls with man crushes, virtually overnight. It's a real threat.

Or, to be fair, scorned teenage girls. Come on now. IT'S GAMEDAY! 04-cheers
