Friday 10/17
Temple @ Houston ESPNU {Temple looks legit. I think they take a close game.}

Saturday 10/18
USF @ Tulsa ESPNEWS {USF will find a way to lose. Somehow!!!!!}

Tulane @ UCF ESPNU {UCF will slide by Tulane. I see UCF looking to the Temple game.}

UC @ SMU CBSSN {This will be a game of offenses. I expect this one to get wild but, SMU gets it's first win.}

I could also be wrong. 07-coffee3

Temple @ Houston
Houston. Got a feeling that the new Houston quarterback will gain even more confidence and that Houston will not lose another game the rest of the season.

USF @ Tulsa
USF. USF will not score a lot of points, but they look to be much more physical than Tulsa and I think that they are going to overpower them.

Tulane @ UCF
UCF.

UC @ SMU
UC will probably win, but I wouldn't be surprised to see SMU pull it out.

Houston - Looks like they have finally found their mojo.
USF - A tough call since they are away, but have to go with the road team.
UCF - this may be closer than you think.
SMU - in the upset, because we need a win badly. I expect some new wrinkles in the offense.

Temple @ Houston - Houston 24 Temple 20, Should be a good game between two good defenses. I give Houston the edge because they have home field advantage.

USF @ Tulsa - Tulsa 38 USF 31, Battle between two lower level teams. I'm picking Tulsa because it's at home and it's homecoming.

Tulane @ UCF - UCF 38 Tulane 20, Don't think it will be close, UCF gets the win at home.

UC @ SMU - UC 45 SMU 28, I see a lot of people picking SMU, I just don't see it. UC's offense picks up and their defense gains confidence against a bad SMU team.

Last two times Tulane played UCF (2009-2010) the Knights won 49-0 and 61-14.

Tulane's not even close to beating UCF but I think it will be much closer than the last two.

MY LINE: Houston 27-24 I think Temple is good enough to keep this close but Houston, at home, with the travel, might be too much for the Owls to overcome.

Saturday 10/18
USF @ Tulsa ESPNEWS
MY LINE: USF 21-17 USF finding its groove and I don't think Tulsa has it anymore.

Tulane @ UCF ESPNU
MY LINE: UCF 35-10 Tulane's play of late and it being a road game....this could possibly get uglier than my pick.

UC @ SMU CBSSN
MY LINE: SMU 21-18 UC has looked REAL bad in its last few games and I have elected to buy the hype train of SMU is getting its sh* together with the new staff.

Pesik - what impact will the Houston injuries on D have on the unit's overall effectiveness against Temple? I understand both are starters, are they key starters?

I went to the game in the Super Dome a few years back. We were up 35-0 in the 1st quarter. Not expecting the same this time around.

derrick mathews leads all college players in career tackles..so he will be a loss..but the defnse played well when he left (he ws hurt midgame)

im not too worried, most of us have faith in our defensive coordinator ..im honestly not wooried about the defense

greg ward is the mystery everyone is curious about... ward will certainly break 100 yards rushing (in my opinion) but alot of us are ready to see what he can do as passer

I'd say 20-13 counts as "much closer"…

Biased for Tulane, of course, but I really believe it's the former.
