They gave us a scare back in 2006.
What is a 2006? Is that like a type of fruit, or an import car?

We didn't play football that year. We disbanded the program that year.

The bad record is one thing. BVG came in, stomped on all our traditions, changed our offense (went from 49ppg to 19ppg) while bad mouthing the old offense, blamed the players for each loss, and would tell the media that he didn't have much to work with. And then left for another job 3 weeks before signing day.

yeah. That is why we hate that guy so much. It would be one thing to struggle while changing offenses, but he said multiple times how he didn't have the type of players that he needed to run his system, and that our guys were strong or fast enough to run his system. He also benched the player that won the Walter Payton award the next season. He pissed all over our history, traditions and players, and crop dusted Statesboro on his way out. He is a terrible, terrible man.

Louisiana @ Texas State - Bobcats win a very close one. Team remembers the beating they took last year and gets revenge. 38-35

App State @ TROY - Troy wons two in a row. They carry the momentum from last week and beat an App team that is crashing. 31-24

NMSU @ Idaho - NMSU continues to play sloppy and turnovers lead to an Idaho win. 28-24

Ga State @ USA - GSU recovers a little from a blowout last week but USA continues to finds its winning form. 45-28

UL-L over TX St (Cajuns finally play a little defense)
Troy over App (transitioning woes continue for App)
Idaho over NMSU (home field advantage gives the Vandals the edge)
USA over GA St (this will be a blow-out that gets ugly by halftime)

Cajuns over the Bobcats tonight: 28-17
Troy all over App!
Idaho vs NMSU: ends in tie after 5 OTs!
So. Al over Ga State by 13. Late surge by Jags to extend a 3 point 4th qtr lead.
And yes, I have already started drinking for tonight's game!

That is why it is so hard to hate you guys this year. Kind of like lending aid and support to the enemy after their command post has been overrun. Just be thankful it isn't being caused by "He who shall not be Named."

Louisiana @ Texas State 31-28: In my opinion, this is the most evenly matched game this week. I think it will come down to whoever wants the win more. I think Texas State will play with something to prove, and will win at home.
App State @ Troy 38-17: Troy is finally out of their losing streak with a win over NMSU last week. I think they are slowly improving, and will roll over App state, who lost to Liberty last week.
NMSU @ Idaho 35-31: I see this game as being pretty close too. Both have decent offensive throwing capabilities, and both have horrible defenses. Who will win? I think NMSU will pull through, and Idaho will be 0-7.
Georgia State @ South Alabama 45-21: South Alabama shouldn't have a problem blowing GA state out out the water this week. I see them having a clear lead the whole game.

I'll take TROY in a close shootout 38-36.
NMSU over UI 35-24. Should be fun to watch
Jags all over GA St 38-17. Jags are coming right along on schedule
