WOW! AAC Scared?
So I was over on the AAC board and there seems to be a great uproar about Marshall (at least two different threads about them). What I cant understand is if this conference is so much better why the concern?

I wouldn't think about that conference at all if it weren't referenced on this board.
I'm out, too.

And that's still about a dozen less threads than here about Marshall.

What I can't understand is, if the AAC is so terrible, why are you lurking on their boards and then posting about it here?

RE: WOW! AAC Scared?
They are all pissed off because they left for the promise of big time TV dollars and sold out stadiums which we all knew would be totally false. Not only have they fallen below us as a conference in football strength, they've also fallen below the MWC. Most of them over there are good posters but a handful are a bunch of babies.

RE: WOW! AAC Scared?
I think they learned on Saturday that ECU could slip up and Marshall would then have no competition if they keep winning. ECU had a tough time with USF, which is an improving team on defense.

Anyone who just learned ECU could slip up is not very smart. I still expect both ECU and Marshall to lose at least 1 game down the stretch. It's hard to win that many games in a row against anyone, much less when you are getting every teams best shot. Both teams have some games left that will be extremely tricky, with each win the pressure gets greater and greater, and neither have a lot of experience being the hunted in recent history.

Some of our fans are really getting annoying for sure. Just remember the Herd could be bad once again really quick. Enjoy the ride for now but come on act like you have been there before win with class and loose with class.

ECU remaining schedule:
Thu, Oct 23 vs Connecticut
Sat, Nov 1 @ Temple
Thu, Nov 13 @ Cincinnati
Sat, Nov 22 vs Tulane
Fri, Nov 28 @Tulsa
Thu, Dec 4 vs UCF
Marshall remaining schedule:
Sat, Oct 18 @ FIU
Sat, Oct 25 vs Florida Atl
Sat, Nov 8 @ Southern Miss
Sat, Nov 15 vs Rice
Sat, Nov 22 @ UAB
Fri, Nov 28 vs W Kentucky
Based off that schedule I would say ECU toughest stretch @ Temple and @ UC in back to back games will determine their Access Bowl fate.
No disrepect to FIU but if they don't get some type of offense going it will be very tough for the Panthers to stay with Marshall. You can only ask your defense to do so much. At home to Rice and @UAB will more than likely determine Marshall fate.
And the beauty is Marshall will know if they will be in control of getting to the Access Bowl because the ECU toughest games are on Nov 1st and 13th. Marshall's take place Nov 15th and 22nd (barring a lost before then).
