Ward was simply more than the D could contain just often enough to beat us along with the 5 turnovers.

Houston does have size and speed. We are still one year away from being able to overcome 5 TOs against a team like Houston.

They are not dog meat BUT they aren't great either. Elusive running qbs who can throw 'just enough' will win some games in college fb.

Even as funky as that game was it was in doubt until the very end. If this was next year we probably reverse the score and go home with a 'bad' win, lol.

Good analysis.

We were in strip mode and missed tackles on the QB and the skilled players where they got yards after contact. And yes the turnovers.
We will bounce back from this loss.

We really did a poor job of wrapping up all night. No disagreement there

There were picks, but there were fumbles, too. And, Lynch had his share of both. This has been my issue with Lynch. I understand he is a sophomore. But, he should have better at passing the ball into receivers' hands. This is why, I think, Coach Fuente or Lynch himself did not pass the long ball in the UCLA or Ole Miss game. And, I believe this is Lynch's Achilles' Heel, his long ball does not have any accuracy. The fumbling comes with lack of basic skills training. The interceptions could be avoided if Lynch learns to pass with more accuracy.

I am impressed with what Lynch has done with the team he has around him, but these things are totally in his control, and he needs to improve on these skills.

If you think that play calling and schemes don't have anything to do with players, then you probably shouldn't be posting about football games.

Nothing wrong with play calling. Execution was what stunk

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Never did block their DLine effectively for the running game.

5 picks is terrible!

5 turnovers I think, not picks. That would be a record or something...

Temple begs to differ.

Temple was down to (one of the 2-3 the worst teams) in the conference, at home in the 4th quarter, this week.

I think Houston beats Temple. I watched both teams yesterday and that is my opinion. Houston has more strength, athleticism, and speed than Temple.

But your point is taken. At Temple is a tough game for us.

Temple struggled with a 1-win Tulsa team. The score was tied 14-14 just before half. Tulsa had the ball at the Temple 1 yard line and missed on 4th and 1. Temple took over and had an incomplete pass on 3rd and long. A Tulsa player was flagged for roughing the passer. Temple got a first down and scored just before half so a 14 point swing that Tulsa never recovered from. Temple is likely to lose 6 of their next 7 games since they have Houston, UCF, ECU, Memphis, Penn State, Cincinnati and Tulane.
