ArkSt and GaSo are 1 and 1A...Too bad they don't play..

ULL, TexSt, USA, and ULM are the middle group..

AppSt, NMSt, Troy, Idaho, and GaSt bring up the rear in no particular order...

RE: So far
The conference really took a nosedive from last year to this. Top team from last year has fallen off the map, we lost a pretty solid program in WKU and picked up 4 newcomers, 3 of which have looked pretty awful so far.

As a conference we are just 7-2 against FCS squads and a pitiful 4-24 vs. FBS teams from other conferences. Just sad.

They could possibly meet if the conference had a CCG.

Growing pains for who? We took on only 2 FCS programs and one is doing great. Conference is really bad this year..

That's why I think it was a mistake not to go ahead and expand to 12, or even 13 last year with the knowledge that Idaho might not be a longterm member..We already knew GaSt was going to take a few years to get up to speed being a brand new program and most newcomers are going to take some lumps. That way the conference could experience its growing pains all at once instead of dragging it out over a long period of years as more schools come and maybe go from the conference..

Growing pains are moot if the top of the league is solid.

If the Cajuns didn't suffer a setback, USA was able to make the waves many thought were able to, Texas State could pull off the wins some thought, Troy didn't fall totally apart, and ULM did... well, pretty much what they did, NMSU, Idaho, & App State struggling wouldn't be a drag on the conference.

So timing isn't necessarily a big deal... It's getting a strong GROUP in the conference, so one team tanking doesn't deflate the conference.

Correct, we expected Idaho, NMSU, Georgia State, and even App to have some issues. What we didn't expect was Troy to crap the bed, Lafayette to look awful, and Texas State, USA, and ULM to all have some issues in OOC play.

So pretty much the whole conference sucks except Ark St and GS?

Really struggled against Navy first half. Should have beaten Illinois, and instead blew a big lead, and almost lost to an awful Tulsa team.

the entire conference has underperformed, except stAte & Georgia Southern.

stAte has done about how folks predicted.
Georgia Southern has exceeded expectations.

The named schools struggled, as expected.
Texas State & USA haven't really performed as well as expected/hoped.
ULM has had it's own struggles, but really, I put them about where they should be (in regards to performance).

The Navy game is what it is... We got our butts handed to us.

Illinois we should NOT have lost.
Tulsa we barely beat... and should have beaten by double digits.

So yeah, we've had OOC issues.

Really? USA's only OOC loss was to this week's most probable No. 1 team in the country (Miss. State) and only by 25 pts. The only other loss was not to an OOC team, but to Georgia Southern and the last I heard are members of the Sun Belt Conference, who are undefeated in league play. You need to get your freaking facts straight before you impersonate an expert. Oh, BTW South beat the only other OOC team they played, Kent State, 23-13.

We had our chance against Tennessee and muffed it.

I realized I should have removed USA from that list the minute I said it. Only 2 OOC games so far. Though the Kent State game isn't exactly a thing of beauty.

A few of you Arky. State fans are real seem to be outgrowing your britches. Don't think that will be the last loss you will experience this year.
