Fire Carey!
Disgusting the last two weeks. Worst back to back performance in 5+ years! These weren't even good teams a brutal Kent State team and a 3-3 CMU team.

Too many years left on contract(contract is through June 2019). If this year ends up below .500 and isn't improved after next year, maybe.

We're 4-2, 1-1 in MAC play. Let's see him right this ship, last 3 games have been brutal to watch.
If things get really bad, some of the assistants will change first before the HC. Earliest we change a HC is sometime next year.

Root for the guys to get better, all we can do. Right now if we squeak into any bowl game, that will be the best we can do with taking a positive from this season - this team just doesn't look like it's conference champ caliber.

Senior Leadership/Coaches need to stop worrying about who is happy and if the younger guys are playing better well than coach you put them in or we can find a new coach the whole damm thing will just keep on going. We are getting out coached and out played. NO shells this week go full pads and lets practice physical huskie football and get back to the HARDWAY.

Go Huskies

This is not last year's Huskie team. Our Heisman candidate QB is gone along with stars on D like Ken Bishop and Jimmy Ward. The defense is young, and projected starters at WR (Tommy Lee) and QB are gone. This is a typical MAC rebuilding year, as opposed to the atypical rebuilding year the Huskies previously had, when they went to the Orange Bowl.

This is going to be a long year, with no Heisman talk, or looking at possibilities of going to a BCS or Power 5 bowl, or whatever they call it now. Kirk Herbstreit will not even mention NIU this year.

The Huskies still have a shot at winning the West, as CMU has already lost to Toledo. The season is not over. There is still much to accomplish. The next winning streak starts next weekend. Beating Miamio would be better than losing to Miamio.

Wow....and they came this close to beating BGSU and going to Detroit last year.

Guess we should be mad at
Quinn too!!!!

That's what happens when you lose to the EMoos. You get fired. WMU fired Cubit *immediately* after we lost to EMU at home on our final game in 2012. Like, that evening.

Losing to EMU is basically like getting caught stealing a purse. Sure, CMU will look the only way and allow you to continue, but most won't. :)

NIU is 4-2 with games remaining vs Miami, at EMU, at BSU, Toledo, at Ohio, at WMU
The Huskies can still reach a double digit win total and represent the West in the MAC title game. With the number of AQ conference jobs that are either available now or will be at the end of the year; if the Huskies play in the MAC title game or get 10 wins Carey will get an offer from somebody and I doubt he will turn it down

My guess is 8-4 at best. More likely 7-5. But, as always, it depends on which team takes the field - the team that beat NU or the team that lost to CMU (and almost lost to KSU).

Your 7-5 prediction may be correct now at this point based off of more boneheaded decisions made today.

IF we finish 7-5 I predict at least 4 people on this board will have a heart attack, stroke or commit suicide.

RE: Fire Carey!
NIU Degree of Difficulty:
1. Toledo
2. @WMU (PJ Fleck will be fired up to end season off on a high note against NIU.)
3. @Ohio (Their lack of O will keep anyone in the game, but you have to Earn your points)
4. @BSU (Their New QB could make them about as tough as Ohio; they fight to bitter end in all games before him too)
5. @EMU (Playing AT EMU is more difficult as it appears. It's WEIRD. Messes with the eyes. They're 2-0 at home)
6. Miami-OH (No slouch of a team. Should be about as tough as playing @EMU, as they're tougher than EMU as a team)

Will NIU only go 3-3, hence, 7-5? I'll assume this is just a confusing/change-up situation for NIU, and they'll go 4-2 the rest of the way and end up 8-4. But could go 5-1 the rest of the way. They won't go 6-0.

The fact you list a team that went 1-11 last year 2nd and a team that has 0 wins over FBS teams (and a loss over an FCS team) 4th tells you how soft NIU's schedule is.

I will have a seminal experience at the Grotto. I may have several, repetitive strokes.

Is it soft when NIU might be the 4th best on that list though.
