Can we beat Miami Ohio and EMU?
At the start of the season, I'd say "it's a cake walk".....now, not so sure. Questions: 1) who is our QB? 2) who is our key RB? 3) is Carey a head coach who can manage a game, make adjustments?

We're back to mediocrity. Can we win the Mac? Sure, but so can everyone else.

Nope, our entitled fan base has brought down the wrath of the football gods. Enjoy laughing at us, MAC fans.

Miami is a winnable game but if we play like today it will be very similar to the Kent game. Hare played the whole game today and sucked so give Maddie a shot and see if we can catch a spark to ride the rest of the season.

I wish it was as simple as taking Hare out. The offense as a whole was broken today. There have been cracks and leaks all year....but this was brutal all around.

But man, watching Hare stare guys down and shuffle his feet before every throw today nearly killed me.

There are NO automatic wins for this team and this coaching staff.....leadership starts at the top......I have some real doubts about Carey as this season moves on. TIme will tell, but they better get things figured out over the next 2 games, because it only gets tougher after that.

I see 8-4 record at best.

So who is the leadership on the offense?

It went

Harnish
Lynch

Everyone needs a leader.

Hare is the QB but I don't think he is a leader.

Someone needs to step up

Shake things up at the line. Give cam and Boogie a chance to show they can carry us. Let's see what Huff can do. Throw short passes to Beebe and Brown. Set up brown deep once in awhile. It just seems like we are chucking and hoping instead of setting up the deep throw like good teams do. Let's pound the rock like we used to.

You should beat Ohio. The Bobcat offense is truly broken right now. Their defense will probably keep them in the game, but I don't see them beating you. As for EMU, I didn't see the game today, but Buffalo has slipped a bit since last season.

Tower to CMichFan....I'm talking about Miami Ohio. And EMU? they've been a MAC bottom feeder for several years

I agree but our system is so dependent on the QB to make it go I think we have to at least consider giving Maddie an extended look.

The long stares were brutal and with more tape out on him now the opposing teams have had more time to break him down. I think Maddie's mobility and ability to move the pocket could reenergize the offense. No one respects Hare as a runner and he just sits back there staring down his target and when guys are covered he tries to force a throw rather than running. Unless the offense is going to be completely revamped, our system is not pocket passer friendly. And for being our best passer, he missed a lot of throws and didn't give our WRs a chance on a lot of throws.

I don't think either are good.

Can we beat them? Yes.

Will we? Remains to be seen. No more cakewalks.

Massey's still has the Huskies favored in the rest of their games, but Balls and Toledo are uncomfortably close.

RE: Can we beat Miami Ohio and EMU?
This gives me great great pain to say this, But after last week with Kent and this week with CMU. I would say no we will not beat Miami OH but we will beat EMU.

I will also predict no trip to the MACC this year. If we keep playing like crap & our coaches keep calling sh!t for plays we will be lucky to end up with a winning overall record.

This is apparently the rebuilding year we expected but did not get when Lynch took over for Harnish. Although I don't know how the hell we managed to beat Northwestern. We looked GOOD in Evanston for crying out loud! What happened? Since Arkansas we are playing like a whole different team.
