I disagree. CMU had the best player on the field and won...it seems to be a trend in the MAC. Whomever has the best offensive player wins. NIU does not have an elite offensive player this year.
But recruiting falls under Carey's jurisdiction, so you can keep bashing him if you like.
What noteworthy player have we recruited since the Orange bowl? Root?

sorry I meant -
Can't wait for those who were bitching at Carey for using multiple QBs to start posting on the board about how bad of a coach Carey is for not putting Maddie in.
I will. Carey's inability to decide on a qb hurt us because they demand different offenses. We had am offense built for maddie and possibly Mac. If hate was your guy you should have age tgat call in July and built an offense around him. That didn't happen. We still have an o that is better suited to Mac or maddie. For some reason he liked hate but continues to call plays not suited to his skill set. (Bubble screens anyone). It was apparent last week and after a half today. He NEEDED to make that PERMANENT change today. He did not

Wait.. So by letting Hare play all game, that wasn't a 'permanent' switch? I get what you're saying about 'creating' a system around Hare. He clearly didn't do that, or if he did, he did a **** job of it. I agree, Carey's coaching was just terrible today, and I won't argue against that. I was just trying to make a point that Hare is NOT built for the current system that is in place, and that if anyone who was arguing for him to be the starting QB, comes onto the board complaining that Maddie should have been put in would be a contradiction.
Then I miss read you. Sorry. Shiners will do that. I've never been on the hare camp. Specifically not with how this team was built and the personel we have

Shiners???? oh wait right there...I had Shiners with a blue label a few years back. delicious! Had a few. Can't find it since. They brew seasonal flavors, right?...let's talk good beer tonite, not NIU football...what color was the label?

That's more likely to show next year, I'd think.

Remember Akeem Daniels and our stable of stud running backs? Is it them or our offensive line?
Just thinking out loud.......

Started with the standard yellow label. Switched to "blonde" at halftime.

A little of both. And I have never been sold on Akeem. Also, never a big fan of the jet sweep. May work well for other teams but not NIU.
Boy, it would sure be nice to get a kicker who can get it in the end zone and a center who can get the ball to the QB more than 4 inches off the ground. Jeez!

All everyone wanted was a QB to be able to be a game-manager this year because we were supposed to have such a dominant OL, RB, WR, and TE core. Well, the OL and RBs aren't holding up to their end of what was expected. Whether it be because they just weren't that great and Lynch made them look so good, or the coaching staff is not properly preparing them or making the best play calls on offense.
Regardless of who is at fault, this game shouldn't have looked like it did today.

wow I remember how happy I was several years ago when I found this board. I thought it would be a place to celebrate the Huskies with fellow fans across the generations.
It is that but it can get so negative at times that it can be depressing. Frisky and Dog fan I know neither of you but I respect both of you guys what is it about message boards that bring out the worst in us?

Driving seems to make average people maniacs. Also repetitive negative whining.

I have to say that I appreciate our MAC fellow fans for not gravitating to this board after the game in shark effect like fashion. I expected much more of that.
