Perhaps we can "Rekindle" something too ... if we ever upgrade HRS 05-mafia

Still looks to me like a HS stadium. But it has to be better than the mausoleum that was the Superdome for Tulane games.

+1

But maybe the pictures don't do it justice. The press box looks okay but it doesn't look like a $73 million stadium to me.

Agreed. It looks like a dumpy Ivy League stadium. Maybe that's what appealed to the NYT to do a story on it

Not sure why all the hate on the board for the stadium. It is meant to be smaller in order to better accommodate the Tulane fan base, so of course it will look like a high school stadium.

Reminds me a but of the Portland Timbers stadium or other smaller, European soccer club stadiums. After having attended a game or two at the Super Dome for Tulane, this is beyond a fantastic upgrade for the program and their fans. But regardless, it still looks good and is definitely a distinct looking stadium.

Looks like a better atmosphere than HRS on game day.

Definitely agree. My biggest takeaways after seeing TDECU and The Rock are how good a crowd of 25,000 looks in a right-sized stadium. HRS needs help.

We're Rice. Why don't we ditch the tarps and put holographic fans in the seats?

I'm surprised the Rally Club hasn't sponsored a bring a 'blow up date" game?

In years past the MOB once employed amplifiers at a Tea Sip game? (This was before my time, so I can't say it's true. Grungy would definitely know one way or the other.)

Interesting factoid - Napalm was invented at Dow (TDECU).

Reliant/NRG has terrible acoustics, so they amp both bands whenever we play there.

I would amplify the crap out of anything, anywhere, at any time. All it takes is lots of equipment, lots of roadies, and a great sound engineer. Oh, and lots of money.

Cheers!
