Big Game against Houston!
Big game tomorrow night. Houston is going to try and keep our defense off balance by mixing in QB's.

Houston has a lot of good players on that team, so we're going to have to show up like we did at Cinci. I have no doubt we will - our guys continue to step up to each weeks challenge, just can't lose focus.

Going into this season, I thought a 2-4 start was a strong possibility, and would have been excited about a 3-3 start. Now, if we take care of business, we can move to 4-2 and show everyone that the Cinci game wasn't a fluke (just in case there's any doubters out there).

Go Tigers!

Why would the Cincy game be a fluke?

It wasn't, but there are still a few posters from other schools that have inferred as much. Couple of writers even noted that the game might have been different if Cinci's QB didn't get knocked out of the game, which is absolutely not true as our D was dominating the first half, outside of the one big pass.

They're all big games from here on out if this team is going to reach it's full potential.

I turnover here and a missed tackle there would easily make that a three possession game.

While game was tied UC had a receiver behind out defense and the QB just missed him. Everything fell into place for us in the first half.

There will be no mixing of the Houston QB's.
The job is now firmly Greg Ward Jr's.
He is a dual threat qb....kinda like the guy who played QB for Little Middle last year. To do that would keep the Houston offensive from gaining any rhythm and damage the psyche of the new QB. It would tell him that the coaches didn't trust him enough.

Well, until Tank cracks his ribs right before halftime...

The issue here is Houston.

They are good...playing the team and not the record. Would not be surprising if Houston pulled off the win...although I believe our kids play well enough to win...says, 38-24.

Yea...I keep thinking our players need to come in all fired up and serious like they did for Cincy--not let that win affect them negatively in this game with Houston.

In other words, no relaxing just because we're at home, the Cougars have a bad record, and we just destroyed the team that was supposed to win it all.

Sounds crazy..but I'm totally serious.

I agree. Houston is a lot better than people think. They had one awful, horrific performance against UTSA, but have played everyone else nose-to-nose. They gave BYU major trouble, back when the Mormons were still full-strength and peaking.

I think Houston is a better football team than Cincinnati, and would be our best win of the season.

Totally agree. Keep the intensity each week. This will get harder as the weeks go on and the opponents get weaker. Houston has the players.

Houston played UCF tough and almost won. And we know UCF is solid.

Last year 4 turnovers hurt in a game we outgained them in yardage.

Our opponents will get weaker, but the weather will get coolor and we will start to smell that bowl game at the end of our season. I doubt we have much of a letdown going forward. Too much excitement.

Halloween will be really pumped here with Brett Michaels.

Hope out OL and RB come ready to play tonight. This one is going to be an old fashion sloppy slobber knocker. Also hope defense is ready to do their business in case of turn overs in this weather.

I think we'll see O'Korn at some point around the 3rd qtr...if for no other reason than Ward's 160lb frame has come into contact with Tank/Ifedi one too many times. I'm not rooting for it, just saying 160 is pretty light
