Marquette rolling in recruiting
Marquette just picked up a commitment from Henry Ellenson, the #4 recruit in the country. 4th top 100 recruit going to Marquette...

As I said all along- this year is the test for Big East recruiting. This year- the entire process was with the new big east- with the new tv deal. At least so far Marquette has passed that test...

I'll say this- if Wojo can coach as well as he can recruit- the rest of the Big East is in some trouble :)

fwiw- just saw ESPN has Marquette now as the #3 class this year. Behind only Arizona and Syracuse.

This ranking will probably go down as the rest of the top 100 sign on the various schools, but he has done a wonderful job in his first year. Better than expected.

Now we get to see if he can coach.

true, but I would think it'd only drop down 2-3 slots tops. Top 7-8 class worst case.

Your 2nd statement is the 100 million dollar one.

He has one scholarship left as well, so who knows. The fan base is energized though.

I'm sure it is. This year will be very interesting for you guys. OOC schedule is very challenging. Ohio St, Wisconsin, Arizona St and then a possible tournament run of Ga Tech, Mich St, and then Kansas/Tennessee.

MU will be very small until the end of the semester when Fischer becomes eligible. OSU, UW and the Orlando tournament will all be without Fischer. But small can be hard to guard as well, and MU has been small in the past. MU will also be young, as most of the talent is in the sophomore class.

Isn't ASU as well before the end of the semester(Dec 16)?

Think 7-5 would be a reasonable goal for you guys. More than 5 losses would require an upset loss. To go 8-4- would have to beat one of Ohio St, Wisconsin, Arizona St, or either lose to Ga Tech and win the 2 consolation rounds or beat either Mich St/Kansas/Tennessee in the tourney after beating Ga Tech.

it seems like the BE coaches , for the most part, are able to recruit. even though our FB "masters" have gone the recruits still seem interested. not bad for 7 leeches and their 3 new best friends

Eligible December 14. First game is against Arizona State.
