Thanks to this victory over BYU, there is a good chance we have a 10-1 ECU and 9-2 UCF facing off in the final game. That's a Top 25 matchup. I think by then, ECU is a top 10 team while UCF is in the 18-23 range.

Imagine #9 ECU vs #20 UCF in the last game of the season in AAC play. 03-cloud9

Do not want to even think about it at this point…A lot of football to play before that could happen.

If last year is any indication, ECU will not break the Top 10 in the regular season. They should still have a nice ranking if they can manage to run the table, though.

A LOT can still happen in this season....and Memphis is playing well also.
I could see us in the top 20 or 25 if we keep everyone else healthy and keep playing with an edge.
Could be a very good year for our conference.

ECU, Memphis, maybe Cincinnati. I'm not confident in UCF just yet.

I think everyone except SMU and maybe UConn and Tulsa would be bowl eligible though.

We would absolutely go undefeated with Marshall's schedule. You can add Temple in for good measure too. Marshall exclusively plays jv girls flag football teams.

Just another viewpoint that may or may not be relevant.......

Completing a season undefeated is difficult, even if the schedule isn't as challenging as most.

I didn't realize it until I just now looked it up, but since the championship game was instituted, none of us were undefeated in CUSA conference play alone (including the championship game). Houston 2012 came the closest, but lost to USM in the championship game.

I don't discount any program going undefeated in conference play, OOC games, and in a championship game. It's tough to win 13 games, even if the schedule isn't highly rated.

Having said all of that, a program being considered for an access bowl should play a reasonably challenging schedule.

All that said, C-USA also had a lot better teams than it currently has today. And that is NOT debatable.
