And we do suck less actually. That's the point. You may be slightly better against stopping the pass game, but you are much worse against the run. Not sure why your defense sucks, but we know why ours does.... losing two corners for the season, and a third corner for two games of our games is the excuse I will go to my grave with.

I agree about excuses. With that said, let's find that bg fan that has repeatedly explained away this year's losses by dropping the names of those three defensive players [who nobody outside of the bg fan base has ever heard of before] and tell him that.

No excuses though...Sandford has been playing well in place of Lynch the past few games and Gus Schwieterman is having an all MAC caliber season as rFR DT. Kid's a fricking walk on from one of the smallest schools in the state to field a football team and he's killing it.

I talked about excuses. I wasnt sure if bg had a reason for their poor defense. I was expecting babers to continue on the road of D from last year. I do know your expectations were way higher than Toledos and statsitically bg is still worse. If toledo wins 38-34 based on average defensive points given up... Thats a bad deal. Id rather be where we are in stopping the run than BG.

They lost too many starters from last year, and coupled with the injuries and new coaches this year, there was no way BG was ever going to continue the defense they had last year.
