Congrats to Damien Wilson, glad he will still have two years left.

Our oldest son was born at Kennesaw Hospital. We know where that is.

good for him but why was he cleared and why does he have 2 years left?

I went to KSU or back then Kennesaw College. Back the they were just getting a hoops program together for NAIA, that was back in the mid to late 80s. Go Owls, my 2nd hoops team, lol. Of course I was born and always have been a Tiger fan.

I'm 100% for Damien to be able to play this season, but the NCAA is so inconsistent with these waivers.

I have to agree. I thought he was tough and pretty talented. I don't know what our coaching staff didn't like about him - at least relative to some others on the team.

I liked this young man and wish him the best. I will always wonder if he had more playing time could he have developed into a solid player.

Those of you that think he got a raw deal here, how do you explain Kennesaw State?

Not trying to take either side of this but he sat behind guys that the coach had stated his reputation on.

I thought he could have contributed the same as some others if given the the same chance. And no, i was not in practice and i am sure the coaching staff knows more. Just my one cent.

If we had never landed Kuran, I think Damien would had been a key contribute this year.

The guys in front of him were just a lot better to my eye.

He is talented & athletic though and has a lot of reach.

One reason Damien stated for leaving was pt. he will obviously get lots of that at kennesaw state. Can't fault him for that. It's cool that josh aided in getting him cleared.

I wish Damien much success. He represented Memphis well.

I thought Damien's game had a lot of potential. He played stingy defense and slashed to the basket well. His outside shot left a lot to be desired though, and he didn't have a strong handle even for a 3. With Nick King and Kuran Iverson in the mix for the 3 minutes this season, I don't see him beating out either for the lion's share. He made the right decision to transfer, I wouldn't say that he got a raw deal. He was third in line at the 3.

I have no idea how he got a waiver to play right away though. Perhaps the same loophole that Woodson used.
