A big factor was CUSA's new contract with Sinclair and its brand spanking new American Sports Network (ASN) which telecast three CUSA games along with FOX. All times listed are Central Time.

It has to be gratifying to CUSA fans to see Sinclair with its brand newAmerican Sports Network deliver its promises so quickly, especially since it is just entering into the TV sports market. The ASN Logo at the botton of the tv screen is nicely done and visually attractive. The ASN logo appeared on all three ASN telecasts, USM @MTU, NM @UTSA, and Hawaii @Rice.

11AM: Marshall @ODU (FOX)
11AM: Southern Miss @MTU (ASN)
1:30PM: UNT @Indiana (BTN)
2:30PM: NM @UTSA (ASN)
6PM: Hawaii @Rice (ASN)
6PM: UTEP @LaTech (FOX)

CUSA team/games not on DirecTV:
12.30PM: Charlotte @Gardner Webb
6PM: UAB @WKU

Still have to buy the sports package to get it, at least with dish. Still, props.

I love that I have access to some CUSA games, but it's really only a "National Broadcast" if the channel on which something is broadcast is available in a specific number of American households and the Sinclair broadcasts do not come remotely close to that number.

For that matter... really No current network on ANY special sports pay tier on dish or cable approaches that number. Only the OTC broadcast networks of ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC along with networks ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN U, NBCSN, FS1, TNT, and TBS reach that threshold (80-90 million American households) in the realm of "national" sports broadcasts.

NBCSN requires a higher package than the rest of those listed at least on DTV. I would agree with your cutoff other than that 1 though. NBCSN and CBSS are in the next tier.
