They're not as far ahead of us as they think. We tore down the the goalposts against ut because we had never beaten them before! They have beaten bama before and still tore down the goalposts. Low self esteem on their part? Too funny!

They also stormed the field a couple of years ago after beating state in the egg bowl...a team they think is inferior to them.

Well, they are only 1-4 in the last 5, so you celebrate when you can....

Bama is pretty much a constant figure near the top of the collegiate football world.

Tearing down the goal posts seems like the natural response for a long hungry team.

IMHO

First win in school history over the #1 team in the nation?

First win over Alabama in 11 years?

First 5-0 season since 1962?

First time that "Gameday" has ever been on campus?

If not then, when IS it appropriate to storm the field and take the goalposts down?

Good for them. They need some self validation. I would hope that if we win out that we do something similar and fans fund the repairs.

What do you expect from a bunch of drunk kids who play dress up in formal wear for a football game? I'm guessing there are a lot of girls with twisted ankles down there right now from all that.. The only thing I dislike more than OM is that damn ugly shade of urnge.

They raised 90K in 4 days for the fines and repairs. They've actually made a $20,000 profit on storming the field and destroying goal posts.

Alabama was number 3

#1 in the Coaches poll. I guess they're counting that.

Since when is pink seersucker and khakis formal wear. Was at the Peabody after a game a couple of years ago. You could tell the black bears by their uniform, long sleeve pink seersucker shirt, khaki shorts and penny loafers.
