Guess they are either holding them until media days or aren't going to release the results.

Edit: League has said only Top 4 will be released.

Just kidding, of course. I would say CUSA is a very strong mens basketball conference, and a number of teams not mentioned in the 4 above (including WKU) could make a run this year.

Experience wise we should, but who knows....We are very weak in the post besides Fant and last season he was in constant foul trouble....Hopefully he learns to stay on the court this season....

I would put WKU ahead of ODU. Otherwise, I agree with the rankings.

You guys are going to get killed in the post. CUSA is a big step up as far as the biggs go. A 6-6 post player in Fant and a tall lanky guy isn't gonna get it done in this conference.

I'm actually going to go with Charlotte vs. WKU if seeding works out in a way that makes that possible.

If not, I think we'll definitely see some combination of UTEP, Charlotte, La Tech, and WKU in the championship game.

Going to have to win at least twice in the span of 14 hours to make this happen. Because you know...only one team is going to play at 7PM every day of the tournament. 05-stirthepot

Let me offer this advice for charlotte, odu, and wku. Don't get too ahead of yourselves. Any team in this league can beat you. We certainly found out when in our house FiU took us to the wood shed. MT who was beating it's chest (even though they still wound up tied for first) lost to us in both games. Even though I thought that we were stronger than so.miss their little runts (I say this respectfully) beat us twice too. They had our number. But...(snicker, snicker,) you'll learn.

You haven't followed Charlotte basketball for the last 9 years have you? We Charlotte fans know.

That said, we have more age and talent than we've had on our team since we were last in CUSA.

RE: Coaches' pre-season basketball picks
We're returning all of our top players from last year's 18-win team. We have an experienced point guard and experienced big men new to the team this year. Just to put things into perspective, we went 18-18 (9-7) with a team with no true point guard and only one reliable player over 6'7". We were outmuscled inside and gassed as our extremely thin bench was down to 8 players at one point during the season due to injuries. However this year we've addressed the size issues, our best scorer is no longer forced to play at point, we have several dangerous shooters, our bench is substantially deeper, and we have a good coach. He took a 5-win team to 18 wins in his first year, with less talent than what the 5-win team had. Just saying, don't sleep on us this year.

Gutsy call since those are the top two teams picked. Will you go further out on a limb and pick ODU and Charlotte in the semi finals?

RE: Coaches' pre-season basketball picks
By the way, picking 10 preseason conference players from only 6 teams seems lazy. Pick 5.
