CFN predicts NIU is "ripe for an upset", but says NIU will find a way to squeak it out 28-20. Hard to get on them too much for this with the QB circus continuing, for once I can understand their pessimism.

yep, this game could turn out to be a challenge, especially if our QB's dont' step up to the plate (btw, I don't like the rotating QB stuff).....pick the guy you feel most confidence in and roll with him

this is definitely a "transition year", bringing in some young dudes and seeing if they can perform and grow into the job

Its turning out to be a transition year, but I don't think it had to be.

Your are all over the map. Before the season you said this was a transition year and so did most of the rest of us.

Then you said NIU gave up non conference play with the QB thing and they ended up 3-1 and are still the conference favorites.

Give it a freaking rest. You've been proven wrong, now you're just waiting for the worst possible outcome so you can say, I was right all along.

Actually everything that has played out has confirmed my worries. That's unfortunate because I was hoping to be wrong :( Obviously the NIU defense is better than anyone thought, and if NIU had any kind of a respectable offense, NIU could have won the MAC this year. The problems with the offense, we mainly did to ourselves, there is not really any disputing that. Its just frustrating that things you can control in terms of mistakes, you don't. Its maddening.

Northwestern Total Offense #98
UNLV Total Offense #95
Arkansas Total Offense#28
Kent State Total Offense #122

I Know -- that's my position. Fire Marshall Bill, in a barn-burner is Not going to stop an awesome Fball game. It's not a club (unless there's tons of hotties crowding DeKalb; if so, count me in).

I just have to say this: PLEASE beat CMU. For everything that is Holy or may be so -- PLEASE. Hare: You know what to do. DO it.
