Congrats are in order for Marshall! I'd love to see MT get a Home and Home with Pitt. Ever P-5 Home and Home that any CUSA school achieves enhances our collective reputation as a competitive conference! Now if we can beat some of these folks with a little regularity that would be a BONUS!

We've never had anyone buy us out yet. We did have a moron of an AD that flat out let Tennessee and Miami out of games for free.

Kansas State, VA Tech both came.

Purdue will be in Huntington next year and Louisville in 2016. NC State in 2018 and Pitt in 2020.

Hamrick has started to set the future schedules up pretty nice. Id still like to see H/H with maybe UVA, VA Tech, extend Louisville also one with Cincy, and maybe even Toledo.

You seem to be of the exact same mindset as I am when it comes to scheduling soem OOC teams. Regional, home-and-home, mid-tier P5 programs, etc. Pitt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Cincinnati, Maryland, Wake Forest, NC State, UNC, Duke, Vanderbilt. Those are all regional, mostly P5, programs that our fanbase can easily travel to for the away game and are all potential wins (rather than scheduling Ohio State, early-2000's Tennessee/Miami, etc.).

I'd really like to see more than just a 1-and-1 with Louisville, VT, and Cincinnati in particular. I think we have an opportunity to develop decent rivalries with Louisville and Cincinnati. I just like playing Virginia Tech - loved what Beamer did when they came to Huntington and VT fans treated me really well in Blacksburg last year.

First class trolling of WVU with this series on both sides.

RE: Marshall Home and Home with Pitt
It wasn't just fan behavior. When WVU approached Pitt about continuing the rivalry, Pitt supposedly told them that they will continue the rival provided that they also continue the series in basketball... Huggins supposedly didn't want to continue it...

Hamrick said when he got here that there wouldn't be any one and done's. That means no games with Ohio State, GA, Florida, Florida State. Im fine with that. When you play games like that 99 times out of 100 you start behind the 8 ball. And more than not you come out with an injury. At Ohio State it was Gator, on his 2nd play in college, and out for the season.

Im one of the Marshall fans that believes that Ohio should be on the schedule every year. Also wouldn't mind rotating Little Miami and Toledo. The rest of the MAC I have no real interest in.

I don't have any interest in any Sun Belt team, not even Appy or GA Southern. I do pull for ULL since I lived in Lafayette and went to ULL for 2 years. If we was to schedule anyone Id want it to be them, Lafayette is a fun place.

It's not that regional but I wouldn't mind playing K-State again or have Indiana or Illinois on the schedule.

Glad to see Pitt taking up Marshall. It is a local game and I'm sure it will be a big draw.

Sorry Marshall peeps, but... Go Panthers!! We are a Pitt family. 04-cheers

Nothing wrong with a yearly Bell game with Ohio. I would feel the same about an ECU/USM series. In this age of SOS and access bowl considerations, I hope that traditional rivalries don't get swept by the wayside.

If Appy wants to come here for a game that's fine. Wouldn't go there considering they are FCS.

Don't mind him, our fans are used to scheduling SEC teams who do the buy out thing. I'm pretty sure we also had a home and home with Pitt back in the day. They did not buy out. They came to Birmingham. The SEC is the only conference with teams full of cowards who do not return the games. Mississippi State is our only exception. Every one in the conference should try to schedule more home and homes with teams outside of the SEC. Screw them.

Appy is FBS now.

Appy and GA Southern are in their 1st year of transition to the Sun Belt. Appy is 1-4 with their only win coming against non scholarship Pioneer League, Campbell. And they could get rolled by Liberty this week.

Not exactly exciting news, but at least it's a team with history, from a big conference. (although an extremely weak one)
