Attendance matters to the players.
They are better than that though. They shouldn't let this mess with their game.

Also matters to out of town recruits watching on TV.

Quit worrying about the fans. If they come they come. And if the don't it'll be because of the weather. We had 46K for friggin Murff State. Woulda had 50 if not for a computer glitch at the ticket window

And it's GOING to turn a crowd that would have been 40,000+ on national TV had the forecast called for sun into a crowd of maybe 25,000. 30,000 tops. This game had the makings for a program defining moment. Large crowd, national tv, and a win. But the perineal black cloud that has hovered over our program for decades has decided to show it's ugly face again and and cause it to rain on our parade. Literally.
The attendance on Saturday isn't going to move the dial on the program's progress one way or the other.

Anyway I still bet we get 35K with rain.
Yes but that is still a good crowd in the rain. Just come out it usually not as bad as everyone is thinking. It happened the last time it rained at the middle game. A Father and Son team showed up at 5:40 as I was packing my chairs up and came on in. After the Win they didn't feel a thing.
