Almost exactly 4 years ago. Look at how far we've come.

Yes, we have come a long way. Let's enjoy it by not making ourselves miserable by looking back.

RE: Remember this thread?
Some fun quotes in that thread...

"The stadium just emptied out and 50% of Tiger Lane is already empty. Lots of disgruntled fans. I'm telling you, he might not have more than 2 seasons."

"Our program is no position to be firing anyone after 2 years."

"Fact is the administration doesn't care enough about football to fire a coach after 2 years. Some schools maybe, not here."

"We couldn't hire a junior college coach if he thought he might not last two seasons."

"As long as the guy we hire after Larry is a good coach we'll be fine for the future. Larry might not be able to coach a lick, but he won't leave the cupboard anywhere near as dry talent wise as TW did."

Interesting read. Thank goodness jeb and GA weren't making the decision. We'd be in a world of hurt.

There were more Porter lovers than just those guys. Boss man made a very compelling case to stick with LP.

The players that are helping this team the most are Porter's recruits.

On defense. Yes.

But, those guys hated Porter. I used to hang out with Martin Ifedi when he was a freshman. He was telling me he wanted to transfer but luckily he stuck it out. Todd Washington, the corner that showed a lot of promise, felt the same way. He ended up leaving but I'm not sure if Porter was the reason or not.

I am not putting down the change in the regime but rather reminding others that recruits are what changes a team's fortune. Porter's inexperience was evident but I dislike the constant negativity displayed on this board.

We are experiencing something beautiful, why can't we enjoy the moment without revisiting the past?

Im all for living in the present. We need to enjoy Bobby, Tank, And Martin while we can. They will definitely be missed next year.

There is difference between living in the past and learning from history.

If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.
