Good call. How many CFL HOFers does everyone have? I haven't been able to find that readily available. Tech has QB Matt Dunigan.

Terry Bradshaw - Pittsburgh Steelers
Fred Dean - San Francisco 49ers & San Diego Chargers
Willie Roaf - New Orleans Saints & Kansas City Chiefs
I don't think anyone else has more than 1. Marshall, UNT, UTEP, USM have 1.

I think you're right. I was surprised when I saw Abner Haynes was not in the HoF, but it looks like the fact that he was playing in the AFL sealed his fate.
Marshall may get a second with Randy Moss.
It is possible that UNT's Brian Waters could get in, too (six time pro bowler), but unlikely.
I'm kind of surprised to hear Abner Haynes isn't in the HOF too. I'm not so happy to report that I'm old enough to remember him. He was a hell of a player. His entire career (1960-1967) was spent in the AFL.
Abner Haynes was the AFL's first "Player of the Year" and its first "Rookie of the Year" in 1960. He captured the AFL's first rushing crown with 875 yards, and also led the Dallas Texans in receiving, punt returns and kickoff returns. He spent 3 years in Dallas, and 2 more with the same franchise when they subsequently became the Kansas City Chiefs.
The only reason I can possibly see that Abner Haynes isn't in the HOF is that his career was rather short (8 years?) by today's standards.
I'm working on a bronze sculpture of Abner Haynes. I can't say too much about it right now, but after it is finished and installed, I'll post a picture.

On the topic of C-USA players in the NFL (although technically he never actually played a snap in C-USA) TY Hilton had an absolute monster game last night and came one yard shy of tying the Colts' franchise record for receiving yards in a game. It's awesome to see players who made so many great plays for your university continue to make them at the next level.

Ditto Eric Walden, Former Sun Belt Defensive player of the Year while at MT! He had a Sack last Night against Titans and 5 or 6 tackles from the OLB for Colts. Wonder if these FIU and the MT alums give each other any grief on the weekend that Panthers and Raiders collide?

Ditto for Eric Walden, former Sun Belt Def. Player of the Year, while at MT. Got a Sack and 5 or 6 tackles against TEXANS last night. Wonder if the FIU and MT alums talk a little smack during PANTHERS/RAIDERS WEEK?

i seem to remember that during a college weekend game, some NFL players would say there was big "trash talking" in the locker rooms.
