Kap is correct. Miami fans aren't generally viewed as douches. State fans however..........

I think Mark Stoops at Kentucky would be a great hire for Miami, if he would take it. Freeze to Fla? Who would Mich go after?

+1. Time to replace Golden.

Gino Torretta made a good point on the radio the other day to people insisting Miami be loyal to Golden for longer.

The guy has been pulling a salary. $2 million isn't exactly chump change. It's not like Golden is doing this for free. Do they really owe him more than that?

Stoops would have to be insane not to take Miami over Kentucky.

I could get behind this. Stoops is a good coach, and I'm sure the change would be welcome here. Even I, an ardent optimist, think things are getting out of hand. #FireAlGolden is slowly making its way into my mindset.

Only if you can actually revive the 'State of Miami'. Is that possible under UMiami current academic environment?

London should be fired if Virginia does not make a bowl this year.

At this point Miami is 5-3 and has won their last two games. Unless the Canes tank the rest of their season, I wouldn't think that Golden would be going anywhere after this year.

I do expect Miami to lose to the Heels this coming weekend.

First part yes, last part no.

It's homecoming. There will be a bigger crowd than usual, a noon gametime, and an energetic team coming off the biggest win of the year so far (sad, true). Miami wins.

I've been saving this article for the inevitable UVa derp game... today seems like a good day to publish it!

The story has an error in it. It states that UVa has lost to Carolina for 4 straight years which is incorrect, the losing streak is now at 5.

PJ *must* win against UVA and NCST to ensure the easy way to more than 7 wins.

A win over UGAg is usually a get out of jail free card.

But as I said after the epic failures against basketball schools .... he had a 10 win season sitting there on a silver platter and squandered it. Now there is no margin of error if he wants to not have yet another 7-win campaign punctuated with yet another humiliation to UGAg.

The offense is fine. But we're 3 coordinators in on defense now, and with absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G to show for it.

Thanks - I forgot to count this year! 03-idea

Can we dub the GT/VA game the "Pink Slip Bowl"?

Wouldn't THAT be sweet? I wonder how ESPN would spin another GT victory over their beloved SEC Dawgs? (Mind you, I'm NOT holding my breath!)

Paul Johnson is safe! If he splits Clemson/UGA or wins Bowl game 2 year extension could be coming in the offseason!

With the number 1 Offense in the country Paul Johnson may win the ACC Coach of the year after the media said he would finish last in the coastal!

Well, there you have it folks: 5 wins is enough to keep your job at UVa.
Looking forward to many more 5-7 seasons in Charlottesville! 04-rock

This kills both UVA and VT.

While London can't coach a lick he can recruit like nobody's business so as long as they keep him VT is going to suck hind tit in in-state recruiting, especially the Tidewater.

There used to be a time when Beamer was able to overcome poor recruiting with outstanding coaching but the past few years.....even going back to having his offense shut down twice by Kevin "Let's give up 70" Steele. In 2011 Clemson had two games where it held their opponent to less than 14 points.....both were against VT.
