Didn't Mark Lindsay live in Memphis for a while?

Those guys were good back in the day.

Man, I am really starting to feel old. Was just like yesterday. Probably because it was just so much fun to be young and full of fire. Never thought we would get to be "old."

Back when this song was a hit (1969?), I was 8 or 9. My family was friends with John D. Loudermilk, who wrote it, and his wife and boys here in Nashville at the time. We thought we were special for some reason! Loved that song and the group.

Raiders version of song was 1971.
