Thor makes a big play
In the first quarter against the Rams, Thor blocked a punt which was returned for a TD by Maragos.

Here's a link to a Getty Images photo of Thor's punt block: http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/photos?gam...Id=4216408

Wonder if Chris Boswell will get a tryout with Detroit. Their kicker missed 3 field goals in a 3 point home loss to Buffalo.

Matt Prater is a more likely first call. The Broncos didn't bring him back after his four game alcohol suspension ended. Jay Feely is another veteran possibility. I don't think they'll go to another rookie since they started the season with Nate Freese (a 7th round draft pick - was he the only kicker drafted last spring?) but he was let go after two games in favor of Alex Henery. To Henery's credit, his three misses were all fairly long attempts but he's just 1 for 5 in two games (and Detroit 4 of 12 total on the season which is horrible).

Not a good sports day for Detroit. Or weekend (well Michigan football - I guess Michigan State had a good win).

Washington drafted the Arkansas kicker late, but cut him in final cutdowns.

This is an awesome shot of a very fired-up Thor after making a big hit on special teams that took off his own helmet on the play
