I think if we beat Houston we could get close to cracking the Top 25.

Not a Notre Dame fan, but they did beat a really good Stanford team, and are undefeated.

They still play Ariz state, Florida State and southern Cal...so it will play itself out.

Very few of the highly rated teams have a lot of big wins yet...
FSU beat Clemson and OK State
Auburn beat LSU and KState
Baylor beat Texas
Mississippi beat Alabama...and Memphis...whoot
Moo beat LSU and TX AM
Alabama beat WV and Florida

After they all play two to three more games, we will know...no more eggs in one basket...

Hopefully the football team will do like the basketball team used to do when we were in C-USA. Lose the quality non-conference, early season games, but then string together a long winning streak and slowly move up in the polls.

If we win out, how high would it be realistic to think we would climb in the polls?

Good question, but it would depend mostly on what happens above us.

All things being equal and with no significant injuries State will beat ole miss in the egg bowl. Handily.

I agree. Stats may show that Ole Miss is a better defense but from what I've seen, miss state is a terror on D and without a doubt miss state offense has more multiple weapons than ole miss

If we win out I think we get slowly bumped to top ten. Just because we are not going to threaten the playoff, & the NCAA can say, "see, we are giving the little guys a shot."
