A season with Memphis winning more games than anyone else, including Tennessee, would be really sweet. That would give severe indigestion to the residents of that section of the state.

Tennessee would never agree to playing an in-state opponent in a bowl game. That was actually written in the old CUSA-SEC Liberty Bowl contract.

Besides, as was vividly proven in 2004, the Vols always duck MEMPHIS when they anticipate an asswhipping.

Yes, I say, Memphis is the better team. But.... Tennessee has improved a lot the last couple of years.
