I'm in.
Obviously, Fleck proved what he could do on the recruiting trail, but I was waiting to see if he could put together a decent product on the field. After watching last weeks game against Virginia Tech and tonight's performance against Toledo, I can officially say, "I'm in". I truly believe WMU's football program is headed in the right direction. Sure, one can point to the weather but I don't believe that played as much as a factor on artificial turf. In a nutshell, I've been impressed with WMU both offensively and defensively but special teams defiantly could use some work.

After a day of pulling our boat out of the water and prepping it for winter, I was looking forward to heading to Kalamazoo for tonight's game. However, after watching the radar closely I decided to watch the Bronco's on ESPN 3 via Chromecast. We rescheduled our gameday for a few weeks...Go Broncos!

Since there are no other options, I'd say that's a good choice. It's really not in us to just go ambivalent as a Bronco fan. It's an absolute, you are or you aren't.

^True. I suffered through every home game in Darnell's last season and Fleck's first. It's all up hill from there.

Saturday was a good game, but in the end a team that deserved to win found a way to lose. Until that changes it's just progress, but it doesn't mean we can beat BSU, OU, or Miami. Ultimately you have to show you can close out a game, it's a learned sense of confidence. Just as losing late conditions you to lack confidence. Our bball program has it. They know how to win at crunch time. This football program has not been able to do it for half a decade. Saturday was simply a continuation of a culture. UT was confident they could win it, we weren't because many of these players haven't experienced it.

I'd rather our next win is a nail biter simply so they have the experience, but I'd rather it not be left in the hand of a walkon kicker who has shown limited confidence at crunch time.

Toledo deserved to win. Their coach adjusted and found a way.

I agree. however i think we have one of the best coaches in the country in coach fleck, he has it all. he knows how to pick up the ladies at wayside, burger king and knows a thing or to with donors wives and the director Larmony, he has a 1-6 home record during his tenure. A lot of positives, the future is bright with George Costanza aka fleck leading WMU.

Weird takeaway. We missed our xp in overtime and lost to a team favored by a touchdown. I'm in.

^It was more than the missed extra point. We failed to hold UT on 4th and 6 with less than a minute in the game. Several times we failed to score TD's when in the red zone.

Lots of chances to win. I wouldn't put it all on the shoulders of the kicker.

To be honest, I don't think it's fair to really blame anybody at all for this loss. It's just a tough one to stomach all around.

There are fans/alumni who will follow a program until the cows come home -- despite the coaching staff. Football, imo, is more about the event than the game itself for a lot of people -- it's all about getting back to campus and reconnecting with old friends and alumni win or lose. I'm sure that was kinda your point. However, that doesn't mean you like the like the direction the program is headed with the current coaching staff -- and that's MY point. Take a quick jaunt down I-94 to Ann Arbor and you'll find thousands of opinions as to whether one is "in" or "out" with the current coaching staff...

Toledo made adjustments and completely flipped the script? They were still down 3 with well under a minute left in the game... and had ONLY SCORED 10 TOTAL points up until that point... Yeah... they made some huge adjustments... Totally deserved to win... scoring over 20pts under their season average in regulation... yep...

WMU lost that game... Toledo didn't win it.

True, we had our chances and should have stole that game. That drive to tie at the end was tough to watch.

Agreed, the snap & hold was not a clean exchange on field goal attempts. A timing problem especially under Saturdays conditions.

You win as a team.

Lose as a team.

Many factors involved.
