How that work out for you guys last year?

Um, CUSA title game and bowl win vs ACC. How'd that scrape by win work out for you guys?

You did all that but you couldn't beat us. MT 1 Marshall 0

Marshall actually leads the series 2-1, but hold on to that win while you can.

If both teams play to their full potential, Marshall will win by 21 pts.

I just think it's funny the OP elected to use conference record instead of overall record in the thread title. It's like the article in your paper the other day about how you are in control of the conference and everyone is chasing you.

Marshall will be an 18 point favorite when the line comes out.

Don't be delusional. Marshall is good, but not THAT good.

I can't wait to see MT come wipe the smug grin off Marshall fans. [/smack]

It'll be a great game. I hope our D doesn't look like Swiss cheese again. if so it'll be a looong day for somebody...

What do you think the spread will be then? I'll stick with 18, make your guess and we'll see who's closer.

It was an embarrassing road loss. Playing Marshall in The Joan is a tad different. Good luck with that.

RE: Rematch is Set - MT (3-0) vs. Marshall (1-0)
Just for the record Marshall is 118-19 in Joan C. Edwards stadium, and have won 10 in a row at home.. I'm not saying MTU couldn't come in and beat us.. after all anything can happen and I don't expect you guys to come in and just lay down.. Last years win should give you confidence and I'm expecting our toughest game of the year.

However, when our fans say that beating us at home isn't easy, they say it because its true.

Damn. Really? Why is that funny? The non-conference games don't mean jack sh!t in terms of C-USA standings and who wins the east. I'm sorry if you thought you should get brownie points beating all the teams in your weak non-conf schedule.

So, it's nothing like that article in paper. That article was dumb.

The fact that we've already played three conference games, are undefeated in those games, playing the projected conference champion who is also undefeated and given the fact that we're the two teams that were picked first and second in the east I believe the OP (even thought I wrote it is unequivocally accurate at this point. There doesn't seem to be anything unusual about that except from some of you Marshall fans who are extra sensitive for whatever reason...I guess about your schedule since you haven't been tested yet.

Apologies for damaging your fragile egos.

....for those of you in Murfeeeeesboro, that is an 86% win percentage. I would be interested to know what MTSU's is.........??

USM is absolutely terrible and the USM qb threw for over 400 yds today against MTSU. No offense MTSU posters, but this should be a blood bath. Marshall is the real deal.

Well, that's a fair point. We didn't play well in the second half defensively, but according to the head coach they played a prevent defense in the second half and he admitted afterwards in his post game that they made a strategic mistake by playing too soft in the secondary.

We also gave up a lot of yards in the air to Western and ODU. You can give up a lot of yards and still win. As that OP stated I don't think we can go into Marshall in win, but I don't think we should call it in and stay home like everyone else seems to think we should do.

I didn't mean that. Hell, that is why you play the game. You never know.

We gave a ton of yards up to Marshall last year and still won.

Calm down pal, there's like two MT fans suggesting we're going to win.

What kind of attendance are you guys expecting? The Joan holds 38k. I see you guys had around 31k for Ohio. With it being homecoming, clearly an extremely important East division game, and the first home game after a two game road trip for a 4-0 team, is there a possibility of a sellout?
