Definitely agree. Worst of all, no need for it.

Where's all the "calling it now, UTSA Conference champs" people at. I thought you guys were gonna be huge this year, too, after Houston game. Houston must really feel like dog**** at this point. Did the Runners get a lot of injuries against the P5 teams? Definitely a head scratcher situation down there.

We are not a good football team. It's as simple as that. The offensive play calling is beyond awful.

Where in the hell is that mojo we had last yr?? For heaven's sake. We're on par to have a record we were suppose to have last yr. Now granted, we've only played one conference game so anything can happen.

Huge expectations and nothing to show for it. Two back to back embarrassing losses has put doubt in all of Runner nation. I doubt we win any of our conference games unless some immediate changes are made.

For the first time as a UTSA diehard I feel completely and utterly embarrassed. We deserve all the **** talking thrown our way.

I'd say so. I mean we were the darling of CUSA just a month ago after the Arizona game, today we get our ass handed to us by a bad New Mexico. We've hit rock bottom.

I officially expect nothing now from this team here on out. If we can somehow get some wins and become bowl eligible, I'd say that 'll be a great accomplishment at this point. Will this hurt our recruiting?? Cause next year we're suppose to be not so good but wow....this year?!

I think what happened to both UTSA and ODU in the past two weeks serve as a cautionary tale: Despite the flash and promise from their first few seasons, it's still a bear to be competitive regularly when you're a young program. This is especially good to remember as Charlotte enters the league next year after only two seasons of FCS independent scheduling. As hard as they'll try and as good as they could become, they're going to have some really dark nights of the soul. It's definitely a long game, even when things look surprisingly chipper in the here and now.

Re: *Game Thread* New Mexico at UTSA
There is just an absolute regression in play calling. The same crap (jet sweeps, bubble screens etc) just doesn't work any more. Teams have figured us out and know UTSA will not challenge them deep. They can blitz every down and get off the field. Just stop running the wildcat on 3th and short when we have a extremely talented RB who is averaging a nice average (today 10). Stop calling plays that our designed to get less yardage than we need. Deplorable

Just watched that 97 yard swing pass TD to our RB that was called back because of the illegal block to back. The penalty was completely unessesary and the defender had no shot to make the tackle. That killed me. Everyone was screaming in the Dome and I was just slient, fixated on the flag

I felt for you guys when that blocker screwed up. I think I heard the announcers say that he was a freshman. If not, it sure seemed like it. No reason at all for him to do that.

Think the ref signaled it on #80 who is a Freshman TE and the announcers even went into how he wouldn't be playing if David Morgan was healthy...but it was actually on #88 who is a Jr WR. Either way it was a dumb block.
