They did it. If UCLA wins tonight our two losses may both be to top five teams.

RE: Ha ha the grove
The Grove USED to be a fun place to tailgate, about 15 years ago. Now, it seems grossly overcrowded, a complete hassle, and full of spoiled kidsters who have no real knowledge or appreciation of what their true history is. They are surrounded by historic buildings and they have no clue what happened in any of them. And their Administration is so hellbent on being politically correct, that their true history, all of it, is being stripped and ignored.

The whole problem with Oxford, which I happen to adore as a place with a lot of history, both good and bad, is the shallow, pompous, obnoxious, insulting new generation of college kids. I will NEVER go back for a game day. Tiger Lane is my cup of tea, family friendly and nice folks.

How times change. There was a time that the East Div of the $EC was the king and the UT-FL game was huge.

Lee Fitting has produced ESPN's College GameDay show for 11 years now, and he told Sports Illustrated that the experience at Ole Miss, where the Rebels upset No. 3 Alabama on Saturday, outdid them all.

"This was the best on-campus experience I've been part of as Game Day producer," Fitting told SI in an email Sunday night. "It wasn't a show, it was an event, and it was because you have such a great natural character in The Grove. You have an incredible recipe - a picture perfect setting, with thousands upon thousands of people that all share an unmatched passion for their school, their team and their sport. The buzz throughout the weekend was awesome. There were times when the production truck was actually shaking.

"It's a place, and an event, that every college football fan has to experience in person."

According to ESPN spokeswoman Keri Potts, the show also earned its highest overnight rating of the season on Saturday.
