I really hope none of this is true. I would hope that society is past this kind of thinking. Sad if true.

According to the article, the plaintiff previously worked for O'Leary. If he is so terrible, why would he go to work for him again?

You live under a rock if you think things like this is over. I always knew O'Liar was scum. He has always fit right in with the p#$cks of Orlando.

I'll reserve judgement for when someone provides a witness or evidence. Right now its a he said she said from a disgruntled employee.

Having actually met and talked with George O'Leary in person, I can say that he has to be one of the most unpleasant people I've ever dealt with.

RE: George O'Leary in some hot water...
From a lawsuit perspective, i'm not sure if the ex-DC will have a case. Wait and see approach there. But the fact that the 'gums' comment has hit the media, there could be fallout at UCF.

Personally, I don't see where the white-on-white slur makes many waves. I don't know how severe that is in an EEOC/lawsuit situation when proving a hostile work environment. Maybe some Rice lawyers can weigh in. I even took a jab at my own heritage in a post on the AAC board. I personally wouldn't be offended by it. But the other comment? Stupid to the nth degree, and if I were a black player at UCF, nevermind a booster, alumnus, etc, I would have some serious reservations about O'Leary. I'm not jumping to any conclusions, but if the allegations are true...

Making fun of your own heritage is one thing. Having someone who does not share your heritage make fun of it is another. The biggest part is intent and how closely you identify yourself with that. In this case it was Irish-on-Italian bigotry not white on white. That makes a huge difference

I am not worried, I hear Doc Holiday would likely be available if we need a coach. :0)
