Bayou bucket this weekend
'The Bayou Bucket Classic is an annual college football game between rivals, UH and the Rice Owls, as a part of the UH–Rice rivalry. The name of the game is a reference to one of Houston's popular nicknames as the Bayou City. Although a series between the two teams has existed since 1971, an award for the winner of each meeting was not official until 1974. The series signifies a college rivalry.'

With apologies to Wikipedia, since dUH refuses to play us, give back the trophy so UH can try to take it home to the islands! Go Warriors, Go Owls!

The Bayou Bucket remains in Houston, but the debate continues, which trophy case does the bucket belong in?

'Coogs take the win, 48-32 over Rice'
Not one to hide, Coogs take the only Football game they choose to compete. Telling that (even more than Rice where Dr. K oversees varsity, club and inter mural sport) Houston ignores a signature win.

Rice needs to go Indy, none of the schools in the region are worth associating with or want to be associated with us. Don't fall into the trap of joining an imploding b12 or acc. We need to sell our strengths to, in this order, the $EC, big10, and PAC12. In the absence of an invite there, the real options are, hold our nose and stay with CUSA or go Indy and spend the money to build our brand and snag an invite to the $EC, big10, or PAC12!
