HE IS TECHNICALLY A JUNIOR IN PLAYING STATUS AND ONLY PLAYED 1 SEASON WORTH OF GAMES

Good to know. The announcing crew referred to him as a Sr and that's how he's listed on ESPN, so I was going off of that.

Even if he's technically a Jr, my thoughts don't change. I strongly disagree with any shifting of blame from Hunt to Shafer regarding the timeouts. Upperclassmen QB's that are bright and solid leaders have a clue if they are out of timeouts when they're trying to drive down the field with a minute left. It was embarrassing watching how lost he was on that drive, and I was rooting against him!

If they're is not much behind him on the bench I understand continuing to start him (when healthy), but I've not seen anything from him that says he's a guy that has the "it" factor to lead a team to continued success.

After a quarter:
Clemson 21 - NC State 0
Total Yardage: 252 to 4 for the Tigers

FSU/Wake tied at 3 with 12 minutes left in the half.

Clemson has better talent than FSU.

Clemson lacks a reliable kicker, but Watson is probably as good as Winston and Clemson has the better defense.

Yeah I know FSU beat Clemson, but Clemson gave that game away.

Had Dabo started Watson this year Clemson might be undefeated.

All you guys who picked UNC over VT:
You were SO close!
It was only 24-3 after 3 quarters,
and the Heels scored 14 in the 4th,
which would've pulled within 7
if the Hokies hadn't scored 10 more...

You must have forgotten that Jameis Winston didn't play in that game against Clemsom, and Clemson still lost.

No I watched the entire game. Clemson should have beaten FSU by 14-17 but their kicker was horrible and Clemson made Clemsoing mistakes that pissed away points. FSU got lucky to win, however they did win the game. Even though FSU won game State's played both with FSU with Winston, and Clemson with Watson.

Clemson has the better team. But you can have the better squad and still lose.

Yeah, we need GT to get it done now that Duke, UNC, VT and Miami have crapped the coastal bed. Good luck tonight.

If Winston plays the game is way different. Watson needs to win something to be paired with Winston

Just as well all expected at the beginning of the season……Georgia Tech and UVA lead the Coastal. Also expected: Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon losing this early in the season.

College football is the best.

Miami so good. Every year they've been in the ACC they've lost AT LEAST 3 games overall and AT LEAST 2 in conference. They've still yet to win a single division title and it doesn't look like one is going to happen this year, either. Keep up the good work.we know you, like most of the rest of the ACC, are trying your best.

RE: Open Thread - Week 6
So how about that PAC-12? Three straight weeks with a successful Hail Mary on the last play of the half (once) or last play to win the game (twice).

Outside of Stanford I'm not sure they've ever heard of defense. Here's the line on Washington St's Conner Halliday tonight:
49-70 for 734 yards, 6 TD's, no INT's

Overall WSU somehow managed to accumulate 812 yards of total offense with no turnovers, and still lose the game. The Cougars miss a chip shot 19 yard FG in the final minute so Cal holds on to win 60-59. Unreal.

You certainly earned your crow yesterday. Watson was fantastic and if you started him at Georgia you might be undefeated right now.
